Scientists have discovered new information about the diet of sauropods, one of the largest dinosaurs that ever existed.

By examining the fossilised stomach contents of a 95-million-year-old sauropod, researchers found that the dino consumed leaves from tall conifer trees, smaller seed ferns, and flowering plants.

The study, led by a team from Curtin University in Australia, revealed that the sauropod likely did not chew its food due to the size of the food pieces found inside its body.

The dinosaur was named Diamantinasaurus matildae and was nicknamed Judy by the researchers.

This discovery is significant as it offers insight into the feeding habits and digestion process of sauropods, shedding light on their impact on Earth's ecosystems during their time.
