The Herds, a collection of life-size wooden and cardboard animal puppets, are currently touring the UK to raise awareness about climate change.

These animals, such as elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and lions, are constructed from recyclable materials like cardboard and plywood.

The project aims to showcase the impacts of climate change and promote sustainability.

Starting its journey in the Democratic Republic of Congo on 9 April, The Herds have travelled through Africa and Europe before reaching the UK.

During the tour, more animals are being made by local teams, increasing the variety and number of species represented.

To ensure sustainability, the puppets are built using biodegradable and organic materials.

The team responsible for The Herds collaborates with local artists, dancers, and climate activists along the way.

The same team previously created Little Amal, a giant puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian girl, which also toured the UK and internationally.

Following the UK stop, The Herds will continue their journey through Scandinavia to the Arctic Circle.
